Apparently, the Digiplay brand came from the same manufacturer that also made several Electra Distortion pedal models in the 1970s & 1980s.

Made in Japan starting in the mid 1970s thru the 1980s. During that period, the same Japanese factory made the Digiplay brand as well as several other brand names (Electra, Guyatone, Locobox, Aria, etc.). These circuits were often identical and only the cosmetics & case differed.
