THE MARSHALL 2555X SILVER JUBILEE HALF STACK IS A MODERN RE-ISSUE OF A CLASSIC GUITAR AMPLIFIER.

If you are talking about all time classic guitar amps this would have to be one. The original 2555 first appeared in 1987. It was a celebration of 25 years of the brand. It was also 50 years of Jim being in the business. The JCM800 2203 and 2204 was the source of inspiration. The special run of this amp was discontinued the following year. This Marshall 2555X Silver Jubilee half stack features a recreation of that amp. There are a couple of updated features that had been a niggle on the original. The back panel now features five speaker outputs rather than an impedance selector. The mains voltage selector has also been removed.

THE SILVER JUBILEE HALF STACK INCLUDES THE HEAD AND 2551AV ANGLE CAB.

As this is a half stack it comes with one angle 4x12 extension speaker cabs. Included is the silver vinyl covered 2551AV angled guitar speaker cabinet. Internally are four Celestion Vintage 30 Speakers. The Marshall 2555X head features a preamp circuit that comes with three gain modes. These are clean, Rhythm Clip and Lead. The lead channel can be foot-switched. Controls include bass, Middle, Treble and Presence. These are shared between the three channels. The preamp features three ECC83 tubes. The power stage has four EL34 tubes. They help to deliver those Marshall tones at mega volume. At 100 watts this amp is not short of power. Equally at home on the stage and the recording studio.

The Cornford Hurricane is the big brother of the original Harlequin. This is the amp you need when you want all that sweet tone, but at a more gig-friendly volume. Its compact size and light weight - due to its pine cabinet - make it ideal for easy transport and modest stages, whilst making no tonal compromises.

The reason why Cornford has designed and built the Hurricanewas purely because so many of the Cornford players asked us to. There seems to be so much interest in 20 wattish vintage valve amps that can really be cranked to get that sweet "on the edge" tone, but at club volume levels, that they had to make their own.

The one thing that they've added over those lovely vintage amps is a huge dollop of Cornford dirt (should you want it!) and if you don't want to revel in that creamy filth it's got a tonne of clean headroom plus that lovely valve powered reverb.

Very Rare Early 60s Selmer Treble and Bass 50watt Valve Head With Crocodile Covering. From the early 60's with crocodile-Reptile covering, with winking green eyes! The T'n'B 50 was probably the longest-running Selmer amplifier in production and certainly it sold very well. The T'n'B 50 would appear to be physically identical to the Bassmaster 50 apart from the model designation on the front panel, and very similar inside with the same valve line-up of ECC83 (initially 4 - but 3 in later models), EL34 (2) & GZ34 (1). Both appear to be multi-purpose amplifiers suitable for bass and/or guitar. This simple, functional and reliable amplifier occupies sonic territory somewhere between Vox and Marshall and can emulate both, probably the reason for it's popularity. This amp has Ace tone, colour, sound and MEGA VOLUME!

Cathode bias amps have more sustain and dynamics but a spongier response particularly with bass notes (more sag). Fixed Biased amps have a firmer feel but less dynamics and sustain.
Some Famous Cathode Biased Amps:

All Fender Tweed Deluxe Amps
All Fender Champs
Vox AC-30
Most Matchless amps
Marshall 18 Watt
Some Famous Fixed Bias Amps:

Fender Narrow Panel Tweed Bassman, Super, Bandmaster and Pro
All Fender Blackface Amps (except the Champ)
All 100Watt and 50 Watt Marshalls
All Hiwatt Amps
To keep this Amp singing please bare in mind that old amps like this one need looking after! They need to be serviced regularly, and components at some point will need to be replaced so make sure you know a good local amp engineer.
Apart from 4 new plastic knobs (yes they look naff!) they can be replaced, just had no time to look my self..
So, there you have it!
Got ta say this amp does sound ACE! Its got warmth, bite, sustain and much more!

The amp has two discrete channels, Bass and Treble, each with a low- and high-level input. The amp’s only controls are Volume, Treble, and Bass for each channel, along with a global Top Cut knob. A power switch and pilot lamp round out the front panel with the noticeable lack of a standby switch. The rear panel is very minimal as well. British Bulgin AC socket, a voltage selector, a couple of speaker output jacks and an output impedance selector with 3.75, 7.5 and 15 Ω settings. This and is definitely old-school British! And LOUD!!
